Conveniently located adjacent to Macclesfield District General Hospital where Prestbury Road meets Cumberland Street, our new care home enjoys a mature setting only minutes away from Macclesfield town centre.

Prestbury House is set amidst the major redevelopment of the old part of the hospital site, ideally placed to serve the elderly residential, nursing and dementia care needs of the local community.

Specialist-designed and purpose-built in a contemporary style, the home offers three floors of generous accommodation. Spacious bedrooms and plenty of day rooms are keynotes of the home’s design, which focus on offering a comfortable, active lifestyle for residents.

To arrange a visit, please either call our home manager, Lance Tipper, or simply complete our contact form to the right on this page.

Note to Satellite Navigation Users: Please do not use the postcode as some Sat. Navs. do not yet recognise it. Instead head for the junction of Cumberland Street and Prestbury Road.

Your chance to board Concorde, see the luxurious leather seats and learn about some of the aircraft’s famous passengers. Sit in the pilot’s seat and discover some of the unique features that made Concorde so special.

The Battle of the Somme was fought at such terrible cost that it has come to symbolise the tragic futility of the First World War. Its first day of conflict remains the bloodiest day in the history of the British Army and it was felt deeply at home, in particular in those towns and villages which had raised Pals battalions and suffered horrible losses. Its 100th anniversary provides an opportunity to commemorate the Service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the battle, to reflect upon the human cost of conflict and to have hope for a more peaceful world. All Welcome.

TUESDAY 31ST MAY 10:00am
Beyond the seafront we will sit at the centre of a wider experience that encompasses the delights of Prestatyn and the glorious Snowdonian Mountains. We will relax, enjoy and our focus is to have fun. For those who like the sea air will be paddling in the refreshing sea.

All this is happening as well as our regular groups. Contact us today on 01625 506 134 to find out more about these upcoming events and activities, or why not suggest an activity yourself.

We all had a lot of fun recently in our truly green-fingered competition, which began in chilly January and bloomed beautifully in late September. All our homes took part and lovely Michelle Walton, our Leisure & Wellness Coordinator, had been a real driving force behind the whole thing as everyone lovingly planted, watered and nurtured their projects in anticipation of the judging on September 24.

Astbury Mere won overall but Prestbury won the Sensory Space category and scooped two commendations for Michelle and Les Moseley. Frances Tophill, presenter on ITV’s Love Your Garden, gave out the awards. So well done everyone who took the time to participate, help and encourage. Big thanks too go to charity Food4macc’s Stuart Potter and volunteers, who built our raised beds that will be producing some delicious veg for some time to come and Macclesfield Garden Centre, who donated pots and baskets. A blooming success all round!

Prestbury House Garden Challenge – 11th June

Staff and residents spent the day being green fingered while participating in the planting of flowers and showing off their gardening skills for Prestbury House Care Home’s garden challenge.

Vegetables that we have grown are now being harvested and one of our residents was the very first to taste our home-grown broad beans.

Our care home’s garden is progressing very well thanks to our enthusiastic residents, relatives and staff that have and continue to take part.

Adam Henson: My Life on the Land and in the Media – 16th April

From the farm to the telly, Prestbury House Care Home hosted BBC Countryfile’s Adam Henson for an informal talk about his life on the farm and on the BBC.  Residents and guests were also able to ask Adam questions about his career on the farm and his on-screen experiences.  This was followed by a delicious light lunch.
