Prestbury House is set amidst the major redevelopment of the old part of the hospital site, ideally placed to serve the elderly residential, nursing and dementia care needs of the local community.

Respite Care Over The Seasonal Break

Many families and carers plan to take a well-earned break over Christmas but are concerned about a frail loved one who needs care and attention. To help, Prestbury House has arranged for some availability of Respite Care over the Christmas period.  You can leave your loved one with us, relaxed in the knowledge they will enjoy the Festive Season, safely accommodated in their own comfortable and private, en suite bedroom, whilst enjoying our excellent menu, and accessing all the fun and activities our residents will enjoy!

Monday 1st December, 12.30pm, Barry Mansfield plays the keyboard. Barry Mansfield will be playing his keyboard before we all sit down together to enjoy lunch. 

Monday 8th December, 2.30pm, Fairways Garden Centre trip. Join our trip of the Fairways Garden Centre to admire the beautiful flowers and enjoy an afternoon tea.

Tuesday 9th December, 2.30pm, Brantano’s shoe shopping day. Brantano’s shoe shop will make us a visit to measure feet and offer a wide range of footwear. This is the perfect chance to do some Christmas shopping, plus to treat yourself!

Thursday 18th December, 2pm, Christmas Victorian Tea Party. Enjoy this rather unique afternoon tea with cakes and Christmas music.

Tuesday 23rd December, 11am, Christmas Film. Enjoy a mince pie and glass of sherry while watching a Christmas seasonal film show.

A visit from gardening expert, Katie Rushworth

Care home events - Katie RushworthOn Thursday 16th October 2014, Katie Rushworth from ITV’s ‘Love Your Garden’, came to Prestbury House to spend a wonderful morning with our residents and guests for an informative talk on what to do with your garden in Autumn and how to plan to get the most out of your garden next year.

The morning comprised of a welcome reception, followed by an informative talk by Katie Rushworth and delicious light lunch.

Great British Bake Off finalist entertains guests and residents

Care home events - Baker Brendan LynchOn Thursday 28th August 2014, Prestbury House care home was honoured to play host to one of the Great British Bake Off’s favourite bakers, Brendan Lynch. At this exclusive and complimentary event, Brendan Lynch gave a wonderful baking demonstration and took time to answer many of our attendees baking questions.

The event started at 10:30am, with Brendan giving a very informative and insightful baking demonstration and Q&A , followed by a delicious light lunch for guests and residents.

Valuation day for guests and residents

Care home events - Mr. Hall

On Wednesday 9th July 2014, TV antiques expert Nick Hall gave an informative talk, followed by a valuation of personal items of residents and invitees’ jewellery, ceramics, paintings, collectables and much more.

The day comprised of light refreshments in the morning, followed by a talk from Nick Hall, a lovely lunch, and an eventful afternoon of valuations of personal items.
