Conveniently located adjacent to Macclesfield District General Hospital where Prestbury Road meets Cumberland Street, our new care home enjoys a mature setting only minutes away from Macclesfield town centre.

Prestbury House is set amidst the major redevelopment of the old part of the hospital site, ideally placed to serve the elderly residential, nursing and dementia care needs of the local community.

Specialist-designed and purpose-built in a contemporary style, the home offers three floors of generous accommodation. Spacious bedrooms and plenty of day rooms are keynotes of the home’s design, which focus on offering a comfortable, active lifestyle for residents.

To arrange a visit, please either call our home manager, Lance Tipper, or simply complete our contact form to the right on this page.

Our care home’s garden is progressing very well thanks to our enthusiastic residents, relatives and staff that have and continue to take part.

PRESTBURY HOUSE WELCOMES LANCE TIPPER AS HOME MANAGER

Porthaven has recently appointed Lance Tipper as the new Home Manager for Prestbury House Care Home in Macclesfield.

Lance has worked in health care since 1978 when he commenced Nurse training at Cranage Hall Hospital, qualifying in 1981. Following that, he spent many years working within learning disability services in South Cheshire and Stockport, gaining extensive clinical experience through holding posts such as Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and finally, as Service Manager. Lance entered the elderly care sector a few years ago when he became the Home Manager for a large care home in Didsbury. He is also actively involved in Rugby Union, both as a player and as a coach.

Lance is looking forward to the challenges presented by his new role as Home Manager, and is confident he has the energy and drive to deliver excellent care for the residents at Prestbury House.

We welcome Lance to the Porthaven team.
