In March 2020, life as we know it altered dramatically and we have been working hard to provide our residents with a sense of normality whilst also continuing to provide high quality, person-centred care.
In recognition of a challenging year and following a generous donation from one of our families, we wanted to do something for our residents and to invest in a permanent feature for our home in memory of those we have cared for.
We purchased a beautiful water feature, a very delicately designed weeping willow, which we installed in our garden for our residents, staff and families to admire when they enjoy time outdoors. The water feature is made from copper with the water trickling down the leaves and can be lit up at night.
On 23rd April, it was our pleasure to welcome Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Mike Smith, to unveil our weeping willow in front of a handful of residents and staff, all of whom took the time to reflect on the year we have had and their hopes for a brighter 2021.
