First Bourne Wood Manor Bake Off for Macmillan Cancer Support

Residents, family and staff all joined together to host the first Bourne Wood Manor Macmillan Coffee Morning on 28th September. Starting the day with the Bourne Wood Bake Off, we were treated to all different types of cake to feast on, from chocolate to cappuccino cake and even one made with beetroot. The Mayor and Mayoress of Farnham, Councillor David Attfield and Mrs Anne Attfield all attended the event and judged the Bake Off contest. Our carer, Mary, was a runner up with her superb fruit cake decorated with penguins and the winning creation was a beautiful caked adorned with bumble bees made by the relative of a resident. In the afternoon, we had music and a tea tasting session, which was enjoyed by our residents. We would like to thank everybody that helped us raise £161 for a very worthwhile cause.
