‘Le Beaujolais nouveau est arrivé’ is a French tradition celebrated across France on the third Thursday in November. We thought it only right that everyone at Haddon Hall Care Home should take part too and so we enjoyed an evening of French wine, music and cuisine
A delicious meal was prepared at our Buxton Home by our chef, which was Quiche Lorraine with pommes du terre frittes followed by muffin au citron. A fresh, fruity and quaffable red wine was on free flow throughout and John James played authentic Café de Paris tunes on his accordion.
John played in our dining rooms and visited our residents in their rooms for those who were otherwise unable to watch him. Pictured here is Mary, who shared her experience with her family through the magic of Skype! It was a wonderfully sociable evening celebrating the best of our neighbour’s culture.
