Haddon Hall garden captures summer spirit!

Hurry down to Haddon Hall Care Home where a fabulous garden awaits you! Our garden is coming along nicely – there’s a mixture of environmentally-friendly materials, creative crafts and colourful planting schemes. One key feature is a flotilla of individually-crafted flowers which garland all the railings and pillars as you approach the home.

Keith and Debbie, our Leisure and Wellness Co-ordinators, have been hard at work creating this stunning garden for our residents with the help and support of various Buxton art groups such as the New Mills Volunteer Centre and their green fingered residents, staff and family members. They have also been given a helping hand by the young pupils of Green Lane Nursery.

Fiona Hasson, Client Services Manager, said: ‘A lot of people from the home and the community have been working very hard to create a bright and happy space this summer. We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who’s contributed, and especially to Jane Barson, Alison Bowry – who gave inspiration – Vivienne Marriott, Teresa Oxley and Ruth Bowring for all their time and hard work”. We are hoping our efforts will help us to secure the top prize at both the Porthaven Garden Challenge and Buxton in Bloom!
