National Art in Care Homes Day

For National Art in Care Homes Day in September, our residents made some lovely flowers out of felt, butterflies from paper and origami tulips, merging them all together to create a Lincroft Meadow canvas.

We made two canvases in total which now hang proudly on our wall and our residents had a brilliant time creating them. Following the same theme for Alzheimer’s Day, we worked together to make a heart made up of forget-me-nots that each resident had individually made. Using a number of artistic techniques and materials to make the flowers, our residents enjoyed working together, whilst remaining apart.
