Spring is here and our residents have sprung into action! Planting, digging and reorganising our lovely gardens in preparation for the Garden Challenge and for spending time outside in the summer. Our greenhouses are filling up and the residents are potting the seedlings as well as working out their own watering rota. It’s a lovely time as everyone is getting involved in their own way. Penhurst Gardens is blessed in its position amongst lots of mature trees and we are getting a lot of wildlife visiting us. Our special copper beech tree which stands proud outside our residents’ rooms is almost in full leaf bringing shade to those lovely afternoon teas and ice creams we have been enjoying lately whilst socially distancing.
