Following an inspection in January, we are delighted to announce that the health and social care regulator, the CQC, has awarded us a ‘Good’ rating.
Inspectors visited us over a number of days to observe and speak to staff, residents and relatives in order to evaluate how safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led our service is for our residents and families.
The report published following the inspection gave us plenty of cause to celebrate after months of hard work. Inspectors noted that residents were supported by “kind and caring staff who treated people as individuals and with dignity and respect.” It also stated that residents “received care and support which was personalised and responsive to their needs” and that residents “were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives” with staff supporting these choices in the least restrictive way possible.
Our home manager Lynne Hudson commented: “We are delighted by our new rating and the comments made by the CQC. We strongly believe in good care and fostering an environment that is compassionate, responsive and above all, enhances the wellbeing of our residents and the report reflects these efforts.”
