‘National Day of Arts in Care Homes’ Exhibition at Wiltshire Heights Care Home

On 24th September, months of hard work culminated in our very own ‘National Day of Arts in Care Homes’ exhibition.

For the past few months, our residents have been hard at work, completing a number of art projects simultaneously for this event and they were excited to show off their arts and crafts contributions. They had use their talents and skills to paint, create fruit bowls from silk flowers, make 3D pictures, knit soft toys, write poems and craft Fabergé-style eggs. They had also designed chair covers and soft toys from recycled materials, made lollipop stick birdhouses, designed floral hats and fashioned their own terrariums which they displayed alongside flower arrangements.

It wasn’t just the residents who expressed their creativity, but staff too with artwork by our home manager Sharon Adams and chef Richard also on display.

There was plenty of positive feedback following the exhibition with residents commenting on the amazing amount of talent at Wiltshire Heights. Some of the photos taken at the exhibition will be on show in local Co-op stores around Bradford-on-Avon if anyone would like to take a look.
