Residents Enjoy the Last Night of the Proms

At our leisure and wellness meeting in August, our residents requested to celebrate the Last Night of the Proms. We were only too happy to oblige and so, the event took place three times to ensure each floor could enjoy the occasion.

On 9th September, Willow enjoyed the event accompanied by tea and cake, on 10th September, it was Robin’s turn, enjoyed with gin punch and nibbles and lastly, the following day, it was Poppy’s turn. This floor requested a cake decorated with a Union Jack. Everyone attending celebrated the proms by waving flags, decorated their rooms with bunting and joined in with rousing renditions of Jerusalem, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and, of course, God Save the Queen.
