Newly opened, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

Tai Chi

Thursday 2nd November 2017 - 11:00am

This November we will be introducing Tai Chi which is a Chinese martial art practiced for both its defence training and health benefits. Tai Chi cultivates focus and calmness and can be a great way to relax and stay fit physically and mentally.

Sarsen Songmen

Thursday 16th November 2017 - 6:30pm

The Sarsen Songmen are a local group of enthusiastic singers. The songs they sing range from English composer Vaughan Williams, through traditional Barbershop songs, humorous songs by Flanders and Swann, arrangements of some sixties pop songs, to seasonal arrangements of Christmas songs.

Roger Burns

Friday 24th November 2017 - 2:00pm

On the 24th November we are joined by Roger Burns. His easy going style has gained him many friends and he will interact and encourage participation as well as striving to cater to all requests. Some examples include; Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square, Slow Boat to China, Tiptoe Thru the Tulips, Pennies from Heaven, Blueberry Hill, Hey Baby and Georgia On My Mind.

Scottish Dancers

Thursday 30th November 2017 - 6:00pm

We welcome back the local Scottish dancing group who will perform their beautiful traditional Scottish dancing routine to the accompaniment of Highland bagpipe music!
