Avondale is also less than 20 minutes away from Haddenham, Thame and Wendover.

Opened in 2010, Avondale provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Avondale is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a fully equipped gym, library, leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Sandra Sax

Wednesday 6th December 2017 - 3:30pm

Sandra is once again coming in to play fabulous music on her saxophone. The joyful music fills the home and puts everyone in high spirits. This time, everyone will be in the Christmas spirit as Sandra will be playing her amazing ‘Jingle Around the Clock’ set.

Christmas Choral Celebration

Friday 8th December 2017 - From 11:30am

On the 8th December, we will be switching on our Christmas lights during our Christmas Choral Celebration. We will have mulled wine, mince pies, shortbread and other refreshments. Come and join us and enjoy the festive atmosphere whilst listening to performances from the Aylesbury Festival Choir and Isla St Clair and watching the Cast Away Touring Theatre performing their set.

Hayden Abbey


Hayden Abbey is a local primary school who we have a good relationship with so we are honoured to have their Reception class and their Year 2 pupils coming to Avondale to sing Christmas carols for us all.

Avondale’s Panto

Friday 15th December 2017 - 2:00pm

We would like to invite you all to watch Avondale’s rendition of Beauty and the Beast at 2pm on Friday 15th of December. With music and refreshments to enjoy whilst watching our staff as you’ve never seen them before, it’s an afternoon not to be missed!
