Bella Hardy

Wednesday 21st June 2017 - 2:30pm–3:30pm

We look forward to welcoming singer/songwriter Bella Hardy on the 21st. Bella was BBC Folk Singer of the Year 2014 and has recorded an album of songs from the Peak District called ‘The Dark Peak and the White’, which includes adaptations and new tunes to works from ‘The Ballads and Songs of Derbyshire’ published in 1867, as well as original songs written for the history, folklore and legends of the area. Through Bella’s words and music, residents will be able to see and explore how stories are constructed and then transformed into song. Residents will then write their own stories – from their own lives if they choose or imaginary – as lyrics, poetry or prose.
