With its prominent position on Gatehouse Road, Avondale offers a haven of calm and tranquility within private landscaped grounds, only a few minutes from Aylesbury’s bustling town centre. Avondale is also less than 20 minutes away from Haddenham, Thame and Wendover.

Opened in 2010, Avondale provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Avondale is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a fully equipped gym, library, leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Avondale is delighted to welcome Nick Zala, a guitarist who will be performing his way through the decades. Please join us to listen, sing and dance along to his brilliant performance.

Rupert’s French Horn Recital

Wednesday 20th June 2018 - 3:00pm

Rupert has an amazing talent and our residents are excited to listen to his performance. Come along and hear the songs we all know and love during his set.

Waterside Theatre

Tuesday 26th June 2018 - 7:30pm

We will be taking our residents to The Waterside Theatre on 26th June to see the smash hit musical, MAMMA MIA! Our residents are really excited to see this and will be sure to sing their hearts out!


Friday 29th June 2018 - 3:30pm

Resident favourite, Riccardo, will be back by popular demand to entertain us with his talent for singing and dancing.

We took a recent trip to the world famous Natural History Museum in London to see all of the brilliant artefacts they have on display. Residents particularly enjoyed seeing the planes and helicopters they have on display as well the many other exhibitions they’re currently showing.
