Aylesbury, the thriving county town of Buckinghamshire, sits on the edge of the beautiful Chiltern Hills in the Home Counties and its traditional market still survives from the 13th century, sitting comfortably alongside the town’s many modern facilities. With its prominent position on Gatehouse Road, Avondale offers a haven of calm and tranquility within private landscaped grounds, only a few minutes from Aylesbury’s bustling town centre. Avondale is also less than 20 minutes away from Haddenham, Thame and Wendover.

Opened in 2010, Avondale provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Avondale is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a fully equipped gym, library, leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Riccardo

Tuesday 14th January 2020 - 2:00pm

We warmly welcome back Riccardo with his versatile playlist as he performs songs that all of our residents remember and love from years gone by. Come along, dance, sing and enjoy the amazing atmosphere.

Tai Chi

Tuesday 14th January 2020 - 11:30am

Lee is an instructor in Tai Chi and will be taking us through this exercise class which combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements.

Interhome Quiz against Lincroft Meadow

Friday 24th January 2020 - 2:30pm

Lincroft Meadow, one of our sister homes, will be joining us for an afternoon quiz. We are holding this as a monthly competition with the winner being announced in the summer.

Timeless Meet

Every Thursday - 10:30am

We are very pleased and lucky to be holding our Timeless Meet throughout 2020. The meet is an intergenerational afternoon where the residents will get to see, cuddle and interact with babies ranging from one month upwards. It will be a very special and wonderful morning.
