Aylesbury, the thriving county town of Buckinghamshire, sits on the edge of the beautiful Chiltern Hills in the Home Counties and its traditional market still survives from the 13th century, sitting comfortably alongside the town’s many modern facilities. With its prominent position on Gatehouse Road, Avondale offers a haven of calm and tranquility within private landscaped grounds, only a few minutes from Aylesbury’s bustling town centre. Avondale is also less than 20 minutes away from Haddenham, Thame and Wendover.

Opened in 2010, Avondale provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Avondale is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a fully equipped gym, library, leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

All of us at Avondale are confident we are one of the leading care homes in Buckinghamshire. We would be delighted to show you our home, and should you decide to visit us, you will see the difference Avondale makes to the lives of our residents and families.

To arrange a visit, please either call our home manager, Shaun Canavan, or our client services manager, Jonathan Perez, or if you prefer, simply send us a message.

Avondale warmly welcomes back Vineyard Church to perform their lovely service. There will be hymns, bible readings and much more and this service is open to all staff and residents.

Aylesbury Nursery

Friday 9th November 2018 - 9.30am

Thanks to the success of last month’s intergenerational nursery merge, we will carry on working alongside our local nursery where we will be spending time with the younger children. The sessions will be held at the local nursery and we’ll also be visited at Avondale sometimes.

Remembrance Service

Friday 9th November 2018 - 11.00am

Avondale will pay tribute to the lives of those who survived, were lost and all that fought for the world we have come to know. A recognised and decorated family member of one of Avondale’s residents will lead the talk of remembrance on this day. We’ll follow this by sharing the memories of those with us, who remember the days they lived through, the struggles, the losses and the celebration on the day it was announced that the war was won. This is a special day for Avondale that unites us all as we give our thoughts and thanks to those that we will never forget.

All this is happening as well as our regular groups. Contact us today on 01296 438 000 to find out more about these upcoming events and activities or why not suggest an activity yourself!
