View the full Avondale activities listingAs part of this year’s Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal we decided to invite our local community to join us for a coffee morning fundraiser in our café. During the event we also held a raffle, which was won by a fabulous friend of our home, Shirley.

This charity works to train fantastic dogs like Leo to alert deaf people to important and life-saving noises that they may otherwise miss, such as a smoke alarm or baby’s cry. We had a great time seeing Leo demonstrate how these clever dogs assist their owners and the vital difference they make in their lives. We are delighted to be raising funds for this charity moving forward, and we hope to see more of Leo, Jennie and Peter in the future!
