Aylesbury, the thriving county town of Buckinghamshire, sits on the edge of the beautiful Chiltern Hills in the Home Counties and its traditional market still survives from the 13th century, sitting comfortably alongside the town’s many modern facilities. With its prominent position on Gatehouse Road, Avondale offers a haven of calm and tranquility within private landscaped grounds, only a few minutes from Aylesbury’s bustling town centre. Avondale is also less than 20 minutes away from Haddenham, Thame and Wendover.

Opened in 2010, Avondale provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Avondale is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a fully equipped gym, library, activities and wellbeing room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning activities and wellbeing philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Our fantastic Macmillan Coffee Morning!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Macmillan Coffee Morning such a wonderful success.

The morning was filled with fun, laughter and community spirit. Guests enjoyed browsing our book sale, taking part in Music Bingo, trying their luck in the raffle and showing off their creativity in our Cupcake Decorating Competition.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated books, attended on the day, purchased raffle tickets, took part in our activities and supported us in raising funds for people living with cancer and their families.

Events like these are a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together for a great cause.

Thank you once again to our residents, families, visitors, volunteers and team members for making the day such a memorable success. We are expecting to have raised close to £300 for this incredible cause!

Our luau garden party!

We celebrated summer in style at our garden party! Our residents, their loved ones and team members enjoyed a delicious Hawaiian-themed BBQ. While we tucked into our food, we were treated to live entertainment from the brilliant Johnny Quattro, who had everyone singing along and tapping their feet.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and especially thank our amazing team for their hard work organising and making this event such a success. Moments like these create the best memories and remind us how important and wonderful it is to come together as a community.

A wonderful day out at College Lake!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day in our very own beer garden, bringing together our residents and their families to enjoy the sunshine and each other’s company.

It was a relaxed and joyful afternoon, filled with conversation, laughter and shared moments, the perfect way to celebrate the important father figures in our lives.

Opportunities like this to spend time together are so meaningful, creating special memories for residents and their loved ones in a warm and welcoming environment.

It was a lovely day enjoyed by all.
