Our defibrillator donation

Here at Haddon Hall Care Home we recently donated a new defibrillator unit to our Buxton community that will be installed at the end of the high street. Pictured here is our Home Manager Julie handing the life-saving equipment over to James, who works for the East Midlands Ambulance Service. Our team are proud to have been able to contribute something to our community that can provide assistance in an emergency.

Thank you, Cynthia!

We know how important it is for our residents to feel part of our Buxton community, so we are always looking for ways to maintain strong links with those in our local area. One of the main ways we do this is through our wonderful volunteers, and in June our residents enjoyed plenty of quality time with our lovely volunteer, Cynthia! With her friendly smile and sharp wit, Cynthia is a valued member of our team who has formed firm friendships with many of our residents from years spent shopping, socialising and even hosting Scrabble competitions! Thank you, Cynthia – you are a superstar.

We certainly worked up an appetite, so everybody was thrilled to sit down for a traditional Sunday roast prepared by our exceptional kitchen team. Before we tucked in, our residents, staff and guests all raised a glass of champagne to toast to our newly crowned King!
