Music Therapist Sarah provides sessions with a great hands-on approach in an informal atmosphere, which makes it an ideal activity for grown-ups who simply want to have fun. Exploring the world around us through music and stories helps to relax the mind, body and soul.

Burns Night

Monday 25th January 2021

Tonight we celebrate Burns Night and pay tribute to the life of Robert Burns. We will indulge in comforting Scottish dishes such as cock-a-leekie soup, haggis with creamy tatties and neeps followed by cranachan and a wee dram!

Leisure and Wellness Meeting

Wednesday 27th January 2021 - 2.30pm

On the last Wednesday of every month, we hold a Leisure and Wellness meeting with our residents to see what activities and events they might like, where they might like to go on our minibus trips and to check that they are happy with the way we are providing their activity programme. As part of the Haddon Hall Care Home family, resident’s friends and relatives are more than welcome to join us.

All this is happening as well as our regular groups. Contact us today on 01298 600 700 to find out more about these upcoming events and activities or why not suggest an activity yourself!

Christmas Club Acoustic Performance

Date posted: 5th January 2021

One of several Zoom ‘gigs’ arranged for December, Club Acoustic performed their set and streamed it live into our lounge! We were treated to an eclectic mix of old favourites and Christmas tunes which captivated the audience and had everyone joining in and singing along. This was the first time that we have hosted Club Acoustic, but it definitely won’t be the last!

Resident Hosts Fascinating Senior Science Session

Date posted: 13th October 2020

This year’s National Science Day celebrated women in science so we invited our lovely resident Maureen to host a talk for us. Maureen is extremely intelligent and gave us a lesson on light refraction, demonstrating the science by ‘bending’ spoons in water, creating rainbows through prisms with sparkly rings and showing us why we need to wear certain types of glasses. Maureen held a captive audience by engaging them with her natural charm and warm humour. We learnt an awful lot and were extremely grateful to Maureen for imparting her wisdom!
