Conveniently located minutes from the centre of the historic spa town of Buxton in the heart of the Peak District, Haddon Hall Care Home enjoys its prominent location in the town, famous for its spring water and the hosting of the internationally renowned Buxton Festival. With activities being an integral part of day to day living at Haddon Hall, this cultural influence is embraced warmly by the home. Haddon Hall is also less than 20 minutes away from Whaley Bridge, Chapel-en-le-Frith and Bakewell.

Opened in 2014, Haddon Hall provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Haddon Hall is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room, home shop and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Sam Jones Christmas show

Tuesday 7th December 2021 - 11.00am

Enjoy a truly magical winter wonderland show featuring Christmas classics from yesteryear! Step into Christmas and join together with cosy Christmas carols and plenty of rockin’ around the Christmas tree! It will be a feel good, upbeat, singing and dancing show of festive cheer to warm the heart, and bring to life those beautiful nostalgic memories from Christmases long, long ago.

Buxton Community Choir

Monday 13th December 2021 - 6.30pm

We are delighted to welcome back Buxton Community Choir to sing a selection of Christmas songs for us. This year they will be performing in the garden as we look out from our lounges and balconies. Our residents are looking forward to seeing and hearing this delightful group perform once again. Afterwards, the choir members will be able to chat with a shared mince pie and glass of mulled wine.

Buxton Opera House pantomime – Aladdin

Monday 20th December 2021 - 2.30pm

Washer woman, Widow Twankey is in a bother; all her lazy son Aladdin does is dream of marrying a princess! If only they could find the ancient lamp then their fortunes may change. Their story includes a magical stage set, popular songs, colourful dance scenes and non-stop laughter.

Sarah Bright – singer and entertainer

Wednesday 22nd December 2021 - 2.30pm

Sarah’s repertoire ranges from the 50s to more current hits covering popular tracks from the likes of Adele to Streisand, Celine Deion, Whitney and many more. She has a versatile vocal range performing styles such as pop, rock, Motown, jazz and blues to musical theatre and country. This month Sarah will be singing a selection of Christmas songs, old and new. She’s a fantastic singer and it is well worth a visit to see her.

Well Deserved Award

We are delighted to let you know that Keith Oxley, a member of our leisure and wellness team, has placed runner up in the Caring Times Unsung Heroes competition. Keith has been our Activities Coordinator at Haddon Hall for over seven years and is a highly valued member of the team. With his natural charm and warm humour, he is loved and cherished by residents and staff alike. 

Keith will feature in a double page spread in the October issue of Caring Times. Huge congratulations to him!
