Ideally located in a spacious and leafy site with panoramic views of surrounding hills and woodland, Porthaven’s care home, Lavender Oaks, sits proudly on Metcalfe Avenue, off Woodmansterne Road. As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.

Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

Residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Paws at the Ready for Crufts

Wednesday 4th March 2020 - 2:30pm

Lavender Oaks will be judging a ‘Best in Show’ with the dogs who visit our home. We will also be hosting an inter-home game of dog bingo in our home bistro and reminiscing about our all-time favourite breeds. We will present the ‘Best in Show’ winner with a tasty bone-shaped treat!

International Women’s Day

Sunday 8th March 2020 - 10:30am

In recognition of women all over the world and in celebration of this global day, we will be hosting a ladies pamper day. It will have a sensory theme and there will be aromatherapy sessions on offer to boost health and wellbeing.

St Patrick’s Day Pop-Up Pub

Tuesday 17th March 2020 - 3:00pm

We will be hosting our own pop-up pub for this Irish-themed day with our residents enjoying a glass of Guinness and sing-along social.

Vintage Tea Dance

Tuesday 24th March 2020 - 2:30pm

Lavender Oaks will be hosting the monthly tea dance with our popular singer, Barry Stevens. Our residents enjoy Barry’s visit to sing his cover versions of popular songs through the decades. There will be tea and cake served in vintage tea cups and saucers provided by our kitchen team to create a cream tea experience reminiscent of tea at the Ritz!
