As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.
Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.
Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

Our residents will be sitting down to watch ‘Everyone Matters’ live in our café. We always look forward to live entertainment and our residents enjoy singing along.
As we begin to say goodbye to the lavender in our garden until next year, our residents will be going out and picking some to make lavender bags.
To mark this national day, our residents will be discussing their favourite novels in a special edition of our monthly Book Club.
We welcome Nigel back as he presents one of his fantastic talks in our beautiful cinema room.
Our residents and staff will be coming together to mark this international day by sharing old photographs. We are sure this will be a lovely day of reminiscence.
We are really looking forward to hosting a garden party complete with entertainment from much-loved singer, Adina Smallwood.
To mark National Sponge Cake Day, our residents will be baking and decorating a Victoria sponge cake. We will then be tasting our creation!
We will be enjoying an afternoon watching Dragon Heart in our cinema.
Our residents can look forward to an Andre Rieu concert in the mariposas lounge.
John will be joining us to host a poetry corner in our bistro.
To make the most of the summer bank holiday, we will be hosting a cheese and wine afternoon in our beautiful garden.
We will be trying something a little different to mark this national day and engaging in a virtual reality headset underwater experience.
Our residents can come together and take part in some seated exercise. This ensures all of the benefits that come with exercise from the comfort of a chair.
Join us in the leisure and wellness room to take part in flower arranging. The arrangements will then be displayed around our home for everyone to enjoy.

To celebrate Easter here at Lavender Oaks in Carshalton, we spent the weekend decorating Easter bonnets. Using a range of different materials, we gathered in the leisure and wellness room for the arts and crafts activity whilst of course enjoying a range of chocolate treats! After making our creations, we wore them and then displayed them for everyone to see, sharing stories of Easter celebrations over the years.
