Brew Monday

Monday 20th January 2020 - 3:00pm

Lavender Oaks will introduce a monthly tea tasting activity supporting NAPA special events. We will provide loose leaf tea for a tasting session in our own bistro. Our leisure & wellness co-ordinator will provide a sample of various teas to include speciality teas as well as old favourites. Older people are especially vulnerable to loneliness and isolation and in line with advice from Age UK we will bring our residents together to enjoy a traditional cuppa and a chat and make new friends in the process!

Burns Night

Saturday 25th January 2020 - 3:00pm

Commemorating the life of the poet Robert Burns we will be introducing Poetry Hour and having an informal get together in the afternoon to recite poetry and enjoy a wee dram as well as some Scottish homemade shortbread. We will be playing and singing along to a traditional Scottish playlist and having some fun.

Vintage Tea Dance

Tuesday 28th January 2020 - 3:00pm

Lavender Oaks will be hosting the monthly tea dance with our popular singer, Barry Stevens. Our residents enjoy Barry’s visit to sing his cover versions of popular songs through the decades. There will be tea and cake served in vintage tea cups and saucers provided by our catering team creating a cream tea experience reminiscent of tea at the Ritz!

Wellbeing Wednesday

Wednesday 29th January 2020 - 2:30pm

We will introduce a monthly wellbeing session in our Oaks Lounge. Lorraine our in-house mindfulness coach will be introducing mindfulness, breath work and relaxation alongside quiet contemplation in our Oaks Lounge on Wednesday afternoons for our residents and staff to have a taster of the benefits of this calming practice.

All this is happening as well as our regular groups. Contact us today on 020 3957 5200 to find out more about these upcoming events and activities or why not suggest an activity yourself!
