Ideally located in a spacious and leafy site with panoramic views of surrounding hills and woodland, Porthaven’s care home, Lavender Oaks, sits proudly on Metcalfe Avenue, off Woodmansterne Road. As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.

Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

Residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Bus Trip to Battersea Park

Friday 2nd August 2019 - 10.30am

Join us for a trip to Battersea Park and take in the beautiful historic gardens which lie on the banks of the Thames. We’ll take a wander round the park, soaking up the August sunshine before making our way back to the home.

Country Music Tea Party

Friday 2nd August 2019 - 3.00pm

An afternoon of singing along to popular country music songs from the 1950’s to the modern day. Residents and staff will sing and dance along to the hits of Glen Campbell, John Denver, Dolly Parton and others, while enjoying tea and cake in the bistro.

Worthing Seaside Bus Trip

Friday 23rd August 2019 - 10.30am

The bus crew and staff from leisure and wellness will take residents out for the day to Worthing. Residents will be taken for a walk along the pier and promenade and enjoy a fish and chip dinner.

Summer Rewind Party – The 40’s & 50’s

Friday 16th August 2019 - 3.00pm

The leisure and wellness team is hosting a party in the bistro by playing popular songs from the 1940s and 50s. Our residents will enjoy tea and cakes, while singing and dancing to the music of big band swing, rock n’ roll and the well-known crooners, including Dean Martin and Matt Munroe. There will also be the music from films and musicals of that era, including Calamity Jane, South Pacific and Gigi.
