Ideally located in a spacious and leafy site with panoramic views of surrounding hills and woodland, Porthaven’s care home, Lavender Oaks, sits proudly on Metcalfe Avenue, off Woodmansterne Road. As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.

Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

The Carolan Consort

Saturday 1st June 2019

Lavender Oaks will welcome the 5 Group Recorder Ensemble, playing a variety of short pieces from Tudor to modern times for our residents’ enjoyment. The musicians will play their pieces of music on a variety of recorders.

Alzheimer’s Cupcake Day 2019

Thursday 13th June 2019

The British Bake Off is here! Our staff, volunteers and residents will have a fun day baking cakes to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. There will be an assortment of goodies to buy in support of our fundraising activities.

Father’s Day Lunch

Sunday 16th June 2019

To celebrate Father’s Day, we will be providing a selection of savoury pies and ales for our fathers in residence.

National Care Home Open Day

Friday 28th June 2019

Lavender Oaks will welcome tenor, Harry Kersley, to sing on the day alongside Chris Burke, a caricaturist who will be here to create portraits of our residents. Our residents’ choir will be singing in the afternoon as well as enjoying an afternoon barbecue and drinks in the garden.
