Ideally located in a spacious and leafy site with panoramic views of surrounding hills and woodland, Porthaven’s care home, Lavender Oaks, sits proudly on Metcalfe Avenue, off Woodmansterne Road. As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.

Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

Residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Meditation

Thursday 4th October 2018

Come and join Lorraine for our first meditation session! This type of activity is perfect for stress reduction, mood elevation and improving heart health and is great for practising calmness. Come and join us and see if you enjoy it.

Decorating Pumpkins

Thursday 25th October 2018

Our residents will be decorating pumpkins with the children from a local Carshalton school! They are thinking up ideas already on what to carve in keeping with the theme of Halloween!

First Year Anniversary Party

Friday 26th October 2018

Come along and join us for a celebration of our first year in operation. It’s been a brilliant first year which has seen plenty of things happening at the home from a talk with renowned antiques expert, Eric Knowles, to our daily socials, jam-packed activity programme and of course, our wonderful Grand Opening back in May. We’re really proud of our home and all our team, and we’d love for you to celebrate with us!

Halloween Party Celebration

Wednesday 31st October 2018

In traditional Halloween fashion, we’re hosting a costume party to celebrate this spooky day. Dress up, come along and have fun. This event will culminate in a ‘best dressed’ competition.
