Ideally located in a spacious and leafy site with panoramic views of surrounding hills and woodland, Porthaven’s care home, Lavender Oaks, sits proudly on Metcalfe Avenue, off Woodmansterne Road. As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.

Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

Residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Christmas Choral Event

Monday 3rd December 2018 - 3:00pm-5:00pm

Join us for our first Christmas Choral Celebration to toast to the start of the festive season! We’ll be joined by Councillor Moira Butt who will switch on our Christmas lights and the wonderful Camilla Quartet will be performing a selection of carols for us. There’ll be mulled wine, mince pies and festive canapes for all to enjoy too.

Visit from the Carshalton Brownies

Tuesday 4th December 2018 - 6:00pm

The Carshalton Brownies will be joining us to entertain our residents. The Brownies have visited us before and it’s always a very lively, fun filled visit so our residents are looking forward to their visit very much.

Christmas Jumper Day

Friday 14th December 2018

The whole Lavender Oaks team will be dressing up for Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for charity. Residents and relatives are welcome to join in too so don your best Christmas jumper and help us to raise money for Save the Children.

Visit from Barrow Hedges Primary School

Thursday 20th December 2018 - 10:30am

The children of our local school, Barrow Hedges, will be coming along to Lavender Oaks to perform for our residents.
