Ideally located in a spacious and leafy site with panoramic views of surrounding hills and woodland, Porthaven’s care home, Lavender Oaks, sits proudly on Metcalfe Avenue, off Woodmansterne Road. As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.

Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

Residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Valentine’s Day

Join us for our Valentine’s Day celebration with music, homemade food and drinks! All welcome.

Chair Pilates with Lorraine

Thursday 21st February 2019

Lorraine will be providing a relaxing and therapeutic chair-based Pilates session for the residents. The session will end with mindfulness which helps to calm both the mind and the body.

Pet Therapy

Thursday 28th February 2019

Our Pets as Therapy dog, Freddie, will be joining us to visit residents so they can interact with him for a few hours. Animal therapy is hugely beneficial to our residents and Freddie is guaranteed to put a smile on their faces because they enjoy seeing him so much.
