Ideally located in a spacious and leafy site with panoramic views of surrounding hills and woodland, Porthaven’s care home, Lavender Oaks, sits proudly on Metcalfe Avenue, off Woodmansterne Road. As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Carshalton, our home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Woodcote, Chipstead and Banstead.

Lavender Oaks provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

Residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

Bus Trip – Gatwick Aviation Museum

Friday 1st November 2019

The museum houses an array of aircraft from the Second World War to modern times. We can’t wait to have a look around and see what they have on display.

Tea Dance with Barry Stevens

Tuesday 5th November 2019 - Bistro, 3:00pm

Come along to our tea dance with entertainment from singer Barry Stevens. Our residents will enjoy a cream tea while listening to a variety of songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s sung by Lavender Oaks’ favourite, Barry Stevens.

Musical Moments

Saturday 16th November 2019 - Mariposa Lounge, 11:00am

Lavender Oaks will welcome back Musical Moments who provide interactive music-based sessions that stimulate residents’ physical and mental activity, using both recorded and live music. Residents are given props and costumes and encouraged to join in and get into the spirit of the show.

Vintage Music Party

Friday 22nd November 2019 - Bistro, 3:00pm

Our residents will enjoy an afternoon of singing and dancing to a variety of popular songs from the 1950’s to the 1980’s. Staff will lead residents and their visitors in actively participating in group singalongs and dancing while enjoying drinks and cakes from the bistro.
