Conveniently located adjacent to Macclesfield District General Hospital where Prestbury Road meets Cumberland Street, Prestbury House enjoys a mature setting only minutes away from Macclesfield town centre. Prestbury House is also less than 20 minutes away from Alderley Edge and Poynton.

Opened in 2011, Prestbury House provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Prestbury House is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

CQC Rating Response

Each day we strive to provide the very best care and support, and put the safety, health and wellbeing of our residents at the forefront of everything we do.

We are disappointed with the current rating and the management and the staff of the home continue to make improvements.

We are proud of the high standards of care we provide, and believe this report in no way reflects the quality of life at the home, which family members and residents have rated as 9.7 out of 10 on the independent comparison website, carehome.co.uk. The standard of care and support we provide is recognised by the local authority in its quality assessments as very high, and we receive consistently positive feedback from residents and their families, 93% of whom have said they would recommend us to a friend in the last 12 months. Indeed, the CQC itself has very positively assessed the standard practices used at Prestbury House in multiple previous inspections, where we have a consistent track record of being rated ‘Good’ in all areas.

We look forward to welcoming the CQC back to demonstrate to them the high-quality, compassionate, and responsive care service we have always provided.

Porthaven Garden Challenge Judging

Tuesday 6th August 2019

On this day, we’ll be visited by the judges as part of this year’s Porthaven Garden Challenge who will be assessing the work we have done to fulfil the categories of this year’s competition. Fingers crossed all of our hard work pays off and the sun is shining during the judging to showcase our beautiful, colourful garden.

Macclesfield Canal Barge Trip

Thursday 15th August 2019 - From 10.00am

Our barge trips are well underway and we’re delighted that the weather has been so much brighter lately. Residents and families say this is one of their favourite trips. Cruising down the canal, enjoying the views and eating fish and chips along the way! They will be happening once a month until September and as they are very popular, speak to Kelly to book your trip to avoid missing out. Family and friends are more than welcome to join us.

Meridiem Duo

Monday 19th August 2019 - 2.00pm

We will be joined by a musical duo who will be performing some wonderful classical music for those who would like to join the session and get lost in the music. Classical music can be soothing and relaxing and we’re looking forward to the first performance by this musical twosome.

Holy Trinity Church Service

Tuesday 20th August 2019 - 2.00pm

Join us for our Holy Trinity church service hosted by a local church. They will perform their lovely service complete with hymns, bible readings and much more.
