Conveniently located adjacent to Macclesfield District General Hospital where Prestbury Road meets Cumberland Street, Prestbury House enjoys a mature setting only minutes away from Macclesfield town centre. Prestbury House is also less than 20 minutes away from Alderley Edge and Poynton.

Opened in 2011, Prestbury House provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Prestbury House is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Pre-Booked Video Calls

EVERY DAY - 10.00am–4.00pm

We know just how important it is to keep in contact with loved ones, and within the last year, that has been more vital than ever. Every day, we facilitate video calls across a number of virtual platforms, enabling our residents to keep in contact with family members and friends worldwide, which boosts their emotional wellbeing and helps to keep those all-important connections alive.



We love to play Bingo, calling out the numbers and collecting prizes for winning a game. Join us to play, let you competitive side out and see what you can win!

Indoor Bowls

THURSDAYS - 2.30pm

Indoor Bowls is a new feature on our leisure and wellness programme and it can get quite competitive. Come along if you’re already a keen player or if you’ve never tried this activity before, maybe it could be your new favourite pastime.

Virtual Concert with Debbie McCormick

FRIDAYS - 2.30pm

Debbie is our favourite performer and is a regular feature on our activity programme thanks to her sublime singing and the brilliant performances she consistently wows us with. On Fridays, we’ll enjoy a virtual concert with her and we can’t wait to welcome her back once restrictions have lifted.

Minibus Trips Resume at Porthaven Care Homes

We were as thrilled as our residents were to see the minibuses back in action this week! In line with the UK government roadmap out of lockdown, we have resumed short trips out and about in the local areas. With our residents and staff now vaccinated, this is truly a sign of better days ahead and a welcome return to our leisure and wellness programmes.
