Northern Chamber Orchestra

Date posted: 25th November 2021

Recently at Prestbury House Care Home in Macclesfield, residents had a lovely afternoon welcoming the Northern Chamber Orchestra to our home. Our residents had a thrilling afternoon singing songs of all genres, as well as making some music of our own with the instruments they provided!

From singing classic folk songs to the tunes of My Fair Lady, there was a song for everyone to enjoy! Our residents really enjoyed the musicians bringing the tambourines and little drums so that we could join in the festivities! They certainly got high marks on our scores!

Tea Time Accordion

Date posted: 25th October 2021

We had a brilliant tea party for all of our residents at Prestbury House where we welcomed our special guest on the accordion, John Jones. He played all different genres of music to get our toes tapping! We had an eventful day full of food, drinks and even a raffle for our residents. We hope that in the future we can host an event in Macclesfield that all of the family can enjoy!

Elvis Was in the Building!

Date posted: 25th October 2021

On Friday the 24th September, we had the pleasure of welcoming Elvis Presley into Prestbury house! The residents enjoyed the songs, the dancing and the whole atmosphere which he brought to the home. Elvis spoiled Agnes Bull with attention when he discovered she would turn a fantastic 100 years old on the 8th October. The attention was reciprocated as she was blown away with his performance and was up on her feet dancing, just like many other residents! Elvis was so successful we have listened to our resident’s wishes and have booked him for two of our Christmas parties in December. Thank you Elvis, thank you very much!
