Conveniently located adjacent to Macclesfield District General Hospital where Prestbury Road meets Cumberland Street, Prestbury House enjoys a mature setting only minutes away from Macclesfield town centre. Prestbury House is also less than 20 minutes away from Alderley Edge and Poynton.

Opened in 2011, Prestbury House provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Prestbury House is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

CQC Rating Response

Each day we strive to provide the very best care and support, and put the safety, health and wellbeing of our residents at the forefront of everything we do.

We are disappointed with the current rating and the management and the staff of the home continue to make improvements.

We are proud of the high standards of care we provide, and believe this report in no way reflects the quality of life at the home, which family members and residents have rated as 9.7 out of 10 on the independent comparison website, carehome.co.uk. The standard of care and support we provide is recognised by the local authority in its quality assessments as very high, and we receive consistently positive feedback from residents and their families, 93% of whom have said they would recommend us to a friend in the last 12 months. Indeed, the CQC itself has very positively assessed the standard practices used at Prestbury House in multiple previous inspections, where we have a consistent track record of being rated ‘Good’ in all areas.

We look forward to welcoming the CQC back to demonstrate to them the high-quality, compassionate, and responsive care service we have always provided.

Way Out West Show

Monday 4th June 2018 - 3:30pm

This will be a fun afternoon for all when we’re joined by the all singing, all dancing Way Out West show performed by leading star, Danielle. All welcome!

Coffee Morning & Quiz with the Co-Operative Community

Friday 8th June 2018 - 11:00am

Residents will be tested on their knowledge during our weekly coffee morning & quiz. A member of staff from the local Co-Operative Shop will be getting involved and getting to know our residents so please come and join us!

Summer Fair

Saturday 9th June 2018 - 1:30pm

A fun day for all with several stalls on show offering everything from body care items, cakes and clothes as well as a Tombola and a games stall. There’ll also be an ice cream van for guests to enjoy in the warm weather, carvery baps and refreshing drinks! All Welcome!

Mini Bus Trip – Barge Trip

Thursday 21st June 2018 - All Day

There will be plenty to see as we make our way along the Macclesfield Canal, from glimpses of our industrial heritage to lots of wildlife. During the trip, residents will be allowed onto the foredeck where they can sit to take in the sun and the views. At the turning point, we often purchase fish and chips to eat on the return journey. It’s always a fun day for all the residents.
