French Toast & Tea

Friday 27th November 2020 - 3.30pm

We are hosting a new activity appealing to everyone’s sweet tooth. Join us to indulge in French toast and tea and socialise with your fellow residents, all from a distance.

Seated Exercise with Travis

TWICE A WEEK THROUGHOUT NOVEMBER - 11.30am

We are delighted with Travis’s exercise plans – the residents enjoy his classes and routines. He does seated classes using a variety of exercises and finishes off with relaxing stretches to bring the residents back to a calm, relaxed state.

Carpet Bowls

ONCE A WEEK

Residents have really enjoyed bowls over the past few months with a slight change to the rules. Residents now get two bowls on each turn which makes them think more tactically and makes it much more competitive. We have lots of fun with some residents putting a block shot in with their second bowl to secure a point.

Knit and Natter Club

SATURDAYS - 11.30am

Join us for our Knit and Natter and help us to make items for our local dog shelter. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a knitting pro or if you just fancy taking up a new hobby, everyone is welcome!

All this is happening as well as our regular groups. Contact us today on 01494 480 200 to find out more about these upcoming events and activities or why not suggest an activity yourself!

Lara Luu Performs

Date posted: 13th October 2020

Lara Luu returned to sing for us for the first time since March, performing a varied set much to our residents’ delight. Lara performed everything from 1930’s classics to Elvis’ hits from the 50’s and 60’s. Residents were asked to submit song requests to the leisure and wellness team in advance so Lara could perform personal favourites for everyone. This went down so well that we will be doing the same ahead of Lara’s return at the end of October.

Wild Science Returns for Educational Animal Activity

Date posted: 8th September 2020

We welcomed Wild Science back again at the beginning of September for another interactive visit, learning all about the origins and behaviours of their diverse range of animals.

We’ve missed these brilliantly informative sessions which allow residents to learn about and see some very interesting animals ranging from snakes and African giant snails to rabbits, all whilst the ranger shares facts about these creatures. Our residents always have plenty of questions for the ranger who was extremely knowledgeable, proving why Wild Science is always one of our most popular activities.
