Located just a few minutes’ drive from the thriving high street centre of Marlborough, and with an elevated position overlooking Salisbury Road and affording far reaching views to Savernake Forest, Savernake View Care Home is ideally located for the residents of Marlborough, as well as other nearby towns and villages like Pewsey, Devizes, Ramsbury, Swindon, Hungerford and Aldborne which are all within easy reach.
Opened in August 2016, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.
Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.
All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, activities and wellbeing room and private dining room for special family occasions.
In keeping with our unique and award winning activities and wellbeing philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercise.

Our fantastic Kitchen Team delighted our residents with a range of chocolatey treats including this very tempting cake stand full of tiffins! We enjoyed them with fresh fruit and tea and coffee as we spent the afternoon sharing our favourite chocolate-themed delights.

There were plenty of delicious sausage rolls to choose from, but in the end our own talented Kitchen Team’s homemade sausage rolls were the clear winner.
Read moreTo mark the coronation of King Charles III, here at Savernake View we decided to hold a competition for budding young Marlborough artists by asking them to decorate a paper crown for our Home Manager Rachael to judge. There were a number of fun and fantastic entries, which meant that Rachael had a hard task ahead, but in the end a winner was chosen and awarded a hamper full of sweet treats!
