In line with the UK government roadmap out of lockdown, we have resumed short trips out and about in the local areas. With our residents and staff now vaccinated, this is truly a sign of better days ahead and a welcome return to our leisure and wellness programmes. Watch the moment here covered by ITV news in the west country.

Chinese New Year Celebrations

Date posted: 9th March 2021

On 12th February, our home celebrated Chinese New Year. We all had lots of fun embracing another culture by writing our names in Chinese, reading our fortune cookies and indulging in Chinese food. Some residents had never tried Chinese food so it was great for them to experience something new and also learn more about China with a quiz. We had Chinese music playing in the background and all of our residents received a beautifully painted fan to keep. Leading up to the day, we had our residents involved in making the decorations for the party. Lots of colourful lanterns were made and hung up on our ceiling and it was great to see so many people participating in the celebrations.
