Located just a few minutes’ drive from the thriving high street centre of Marlborough, and with an elevated position overlooking Salisbury Road and affording far reaching views to Savernake Forest, Savernake View Care Home is ideally located for the residents of Marlborough, as well as other nearby towns and villages like Pewsey, Devizes, Ramsbury, Swindon, Hungerford and Aldborne which are all within easy reach.

Opened in August 2016, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercise.

CQC Rating Response

"We are naturally disappointed with CQC’s overall rating of the Home, and look forward to the next inspection where we are confident that the ratings will be improved to Good. Almost all of the issues raised in the report had already been identified as areas to improve by the Home’s new manager, as CQC recognises in the report, with actions in place to rectify them. Malcolm from Alive

Wednesday 4th July 2018 - 2:00-3:00pm

We welcome back Malcolm from the charity Alive who will be running a Biodanza session. Biodanza, which translates to ‘dance of life’, guarantees to provide an afternoon full of fun and expression. All welcome!

Sandy from Alive

Friday 13th July 2018 - 2:00–3:00pm

We welcome Sandy who will be leading a variety hour for our residents. The variety hour includes the use of music to help residents express themselves, remember important parts of their life and to feel a sense of companionship, movement and exercise. They’ll also have the opportunity to access news and interesting topics to bring the outside world in as well as poetry and quizzes.

Richard Sully

Tuesday 17th July 2018 - 2:00-3:00pm

We are excited to welcome Richard Sully, a pianist who has played all over the world and even at George Clooney’s wedding! Join us for a relaxing and entertaining afternoon!

Savernake View Summer Fete

Saturday 28th July 2018 - 2:00–4:00pm

We will be holding our first Summer Fete here at Savernake View. There will be a raffle, various stalls and fun games, a BBQ and live entertainment! Reserve your place today!
