Located just a few minutes’ drive from the thriving high street centre of Marlborough, and with an elevated position overlooking Salisbury Road and affording far reaching views to Savernake Forest, Savernake View Care Home is ideally located for the residents of Marlborough, as well as other nearby towns and villages like Pewsey, Devizes, Ramsbury, Swindon, Hungerford and Aldborne which are all within easy reach.

Opened in August 2016, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercise.

Bonfire Night

Thursday 5th November 2020

We are putting on a fireworks display and our kitchen team are making a hog roast for the residents on Bonfire Night. During the day, we’ll be decorating biscuits with a firework-inspired designs to enjoy in the evening.

World Sandwich Day High Tea

Tuesday 10th November 2020

We will be having a high tea on both floors on World Sandwich Day. The kitchen will be producing a great spread for the residents and leisure and wellness will be providing activities throughout.

Diwali, Hindu Festival of Lights

Saturday 14th November 2020

We will be celebrating the Hindu festival Diwali, enjoying Indian nibbles and traditional music too. Our residents love to experience different cultures and customs and we’re looking forward to celebrating Diwali once again this year.

Poetry Reading


We have group sessions where residents can share the poetry they love and we can also join residents in their rooms if they aren’t as mobile and would prefer to have a one-to-one session.
