Located just a few minutes’ drive from the thriving high street centre of Marlborough, and with an elevated position overlooking Salisbury Road and affording far reaching views to Savernake Forest, Savernake View Care Home is ideally located for the residents of Marlborough, as well as other nearby towns and villages like Pewsey, Devizes, Ramsbury, Swindon, Hungerford and Aldborne which are all within easy reach.
Opened in August 2016, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.
Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.
All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.
In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercise.

To mark this day, our talented chef will be making rice pudding for our residents to enjoy after dinner.
Everyone loves a Bakewell tart! We will be tasting our chef’s own take on the tasty treat with a cup of tea in the café.
Our local church, Emmanuel Church, will be coming in to visit us for a bible talk.
We look forward to spoiling our residents with a day of relaxation with hand pampering and meditation.
Staff and residents will be encouraged to bring in their photographs to share with everyone. We are really looking forward to a day of reminiscence.
We will be welcoming a bee keeper to Savernake View and we will be learning about the importance of our bees! Honey-themed snacks and refreshments will be available to enjoy and we will also engage in some themed arts and crafts.
To mark this day, we will be hosting our very own crufts competition. We can’t wait to see our relative’s dogs and our PAT dog complete here at Savernake View.
To make the most of the bank holiday, we will be welcoming Jimmy Kent to perform in our garden as part of our garden party!

We welcomed our friends from Cuddly Cavies and our residents spent the day feeding and cuddling the guinea pigs. Next on the agenda was a performance from Ukulele Piddle whilst we enjoyed a delicious cheese and wine board put together by our talented chef! This was of course all washed down with a glass or two of Berry Bros. & Rudd wine.
