Located just a few minutes’ drive from the thriving high street centre of Marlborough, and with an elevated position overlooking Salisbury Road and affording far reaching views to Savernake Forest, Savernake View Care Home is ideally located for the residents of Marlborough, as well as other nearby towns and villages like Pewsey, Devizes, Ramsbury, Swindon, Hungerford and Aldborne which are all within easy reach.

Opened in August 2016, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercise.

"We are pleased that the CQC has recognised the improvements in all areas of the home following the change of manager early last year, particularly rating the home ‘good’ in the ‘care’ category. The views of residents and families are also very important and the home has a 94% approval rating on the UK’s leading independent website carehome.co.uk as well as 100% approval ratings on all aspects of care from the home’s families and residents."

Paul Levy, Ukulele Player

Tuesday 11th September 2018 - 2.00–3.00pm

We welcome back Paul Levy, a firm favourite amongst the residents who has been visiting now for nearly two years! We will be treated to an afternoon of fun and reminiscent music and jokes!

Richard Sully, Pianist

Tuesday 18th September 2018 - 11.00am–12.00pm

We are excited to welcome Richard Sully, a pianist, who has played all over the world and even at George Clooney’s wedding! Look forward to a relaxing and entertaining morning listening to Richard play!

Malcolm from Alive

Thursday 27th September 2018 - 2.00–3.00pm

We welcome back Malcolm from the charity Alive, who will be running a Biodanza session. Biodanza, which translates to ‘dance of life’ guarantees to provide an afternoon full of fun and expression.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

Friday 28th September 2018 - 10.30am–12.00pm

We are hosting a coffee morning to help raise funds for Macmillan which is one of the largest British cancer charities. They provide specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. Come along for a great cuppa, a lovely piece of cake and some great conversation!
