Located just a few minutes’ drive from the thriving high street centre of Marlborough, and with an elevated position overlooking Salisbury Road and affording far reaching views to Savernake Forest, Savernake View Care Home is ideally located for the residents of Marlborough, as well as other nearby towns and villages like Pewsey, Devizes, Ramsbury, Swindon, Hungerford and Aldborne which are all within easy reach.

Opened in August 2016, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercise.

"We are pleased that the CQC has recognised the improvements in all areas of the home following the change of manager early last year, particularly rating the home ‘good’ in the ‘care’ category. The views of residents and families are also very important and the home has a 94% approval rating on the UK’s leading independent website as well as 100% approval ratings on all aspects of care from the home’s families and residents."

Church Services


From March, we’ll have Sunday services showing in the home cinema for residents and their families. Please contact the Leisure & Wellness team for more details.

Paul, along with his trusty acoustic ukulele, has played for audiences throughout Wiltshire. He promises everything from Doris Day to The Kinks, accompanied by plenty of audience participation.

Hen’s Fitness

Wednesday 20th March 2019 - 10:30am

Hen Mackinnon, Alzheimer’s Support Movement for the Mind instructor, brings her wonderful energy to our morning exercise sessions, blending music and movement, reminiscence and social interaction.

Located at Northleach, the Mechanical Music Museum proved to be a really interesting venue when we visited. We were given a fascinating tour of self-playing musical instruments and automata, a real eye-opener into music before it was readily available to the masses in the 1920’s.
