Located just a few minutes’ drive from the thriving high street centre of Marlborough, and with an elevated position overlooking Salisbury Road and affording far reaching views to Savernake Forest, Savernake View Care Home is ideally located for the residents of Marlborough, as well as other nearby towns and villages like Pewsey, Devizes, Ramsbury, Swindon, Hungerford and Aldborne which are all within easy reach.

Opened in August 2016, Savernake View provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Savernake View is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents at Savernake View benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercise.

"We are pleased that the CQC has recognised the improvements in all areas of the home following the change of manager early last year, particularly rating the home ‘good’ in the ‘care’ category. The views of residents and families are also very important and the home has a 94% approval rating on the UK’s leading independent website as well as 100% approval ratings on all aspects of care from the home’s families and residents."

Kym’s Pottery Class

Friday 2nd November 2018 - 2.00pm

Kym will be joining us again to make some seasonal crafts out of clay. Kym’s classes are always very popular and our residents find them to be extremely therapeutic so don’t miss out! Last month, we made our own hollow pumpkins and carved them ready for Halloween so we can’t wait to find out what we’ll be creating for November.

Line Dancing

Friday 2nd November 2018 - 2.00pm

We have invited our local neighbours to join residents of Savernake View in a line dancing class! Come along and join us for a fun and lively session.

Atwell Motor Museum

Monday 5th November 2018 - 2.00pm

Residents will be driving off to the Motor Museum in Calne to view their vintage car collection and have a cup of tea, cake and chat with the volunteers at the museum.

Gentleman’s Lunch Club

EVERY TUESDAY - 12.30–1.30pm

Our Gentlemen’s Lunch Club is a great social event and our gents look forward to meeting up, having some tasty homemade food and putting the world to rights.
