Bourne Wood Manor provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Pantomime – Cinderella

Monday 3rd January 2022

Staff at Bourne Wood Manor will be performing in our very own pantomime of Cinderella for our residents to enjoy a laugh.

World Braille Day

Sunday 16th January 2022

We are looking to invite the local guide dog centre to come along and meet our residents as part of our day dedicated to supporting and raising awareness of sensory impairment.

Burns Night

Tuesday 25th January 2022

With tartan decorations throughout the bistro, Scottish music, a bagpipe player and of course haggis, neeps and tatties, we are sure that this will be a fantastic day!

Bird Watchers Day

Friday 28th January 2022

We are looking forward to the big garden birdwatch, with staff and residents counting the different species of birds visiting our garden.

A trip to the Royal Albert Hall

Residents and staff here at Bourne Wood Manor, in Farnham, visited The Royal Albert Hall to watch the Christmas special; John Rutter’s Christmas Celebration played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. 

This was one of our residents, Romola’s, wish. She said ‘I had a splendid time, and I was absolutely delighted to be there’. 

Before the show, our residents and staff enjoyed fish and chips in a local restaurant. Everyone had a fantastic day and it was a lovely festive trip!
