Bourne Wood Manor provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Falconry Display

Tuesday 7th September 2021

On the 7th of September we will be having a falconry display in the garden. Our residents will get to get up close and personal with a selection of birds of prey after watching them fly!

Morning Walks

EVERY WEEKDAY - 10.30am–12.00pm

Every morning our residents have the opportunity to go out into the garden for a walk followed by tea or coffee and some cake. We include activities like colouring, board games and quizzes on rainy days as an alternative.

Tea for 3

EVERY AFTERNOON - 3.00pm

Residents and staff are welcome to gather in the lounges for Tea for 3. This is a great way to interact, get to know each other and reminisce. Everyone is encouraged to participate and enjoy a warm drink, cake and a conversation.

Textile & Craft Club

EVERY THURSDAY FORTNIGHT - 2.00pm–3.00pm

Crochet, knitting, embroidery and pompom making! Explore your skills and challenge your abilities at craft club!

Welcome Daisy the Dove!

Much to the excitement of everyone in the home, our doves have hatched their first chick! A competition was held to name the new arrival and Daisy was pulled from the hat. Although scruffy, she is very cute and we can’t wait to see her grow and join the rest of the flock in the centre of our new medicine wheel garden. 

Residents Enjoy Captivating Colour Therapy!

This month, we were thrilled to welcome Heather Goulding into our home to conduct a fabric filled morning of colour therapy. 

Heather uses the power of colour to increase positivity, conversation and to lift overall spirits. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed using all of the different fabrics to put together items of clothing and explore the range of colours and patterns. Heather was a real hit with the residents and a great day was had by all!
