Poetry and reading group with Bernard

Every Monday in January, we will be hosting a poetry and reading group held by our volunteer, Bernard. Our residents will be given the opportunity to add their favourite poems to the weekly booklet and will then be able to read their favorite poem to the group.

Walk and Talk Group

Our weekly strolls into town have been much appreciated by our residents, therefore we will be continuing this into the new year! Beginning on Wednesday 5th January, we will be setting off into Chipping Norton in search of some beautiful flowers and the all-important afternoon tea.

Flower arranging

There will be a change to our flower arranging activity in January; starting on Wednesday the 5th, the flower arranging session will be held once a week on a Wednesday afternoon. We will be purchasing the tools of the trade needed to make the perfect seasonal centerpieces for our home, as well as having a flower arranging expert of our own.

Minibus trips in January

Throughout the month

Our minibus will continue to take our residents on trips out in January when we have appointed a new minibus carer. We will be visiting The British Motor Museum in Gaydon, the Fosseway Garden Centre and the Stratford Garden Centre.

All this is happening as well as our regular groups. Contact us today on 01608 698100 to find out more about these upcoming events and activities or why not suggest an activity yourself!

Christmas tree decorating

Date posted: 24th December 2021

Our halls were decked, the lights were lit, the tinsel was wrapped and the tree came together with our residents help. Penhurst Gardens now looks very beautiful and festive! One of our residents even subtly hid a reindeer somewhere inside the tree on the first floor! Can you find it?
