Bordering the historic mill town of Congleton and the delightful village of Astbury in the heart of East Cheshire, Astbury Mere enjoys a truly enviable position. Whilst only a few minutes drive from the centre of town, the home enjoys a leafy setting adjacent to the natural open beauty of Astbury Mere Country Park. Astbury Mere is also less than 20 minutes away from Biddulph, Kidsgrove and Sandbach.

Opened in 2010, Astbury Mere provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Astbury Mere is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a hairdressing salon, a leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Father’s Day Pamper Sessions

Sunday 20th June 2021

If you would like your nails tidied up and a gentle hand massage to nourish your skin, please advise Laura who will be on hand to pamper you!

Macclesfield Canal Barge Trip

Friday 25th June 2021 - Leaving at 10.00am

We will be sailing down the Macclesfield Canal once again after a short hiatus! We will be taking a trip on the Mary Sunley Barge, taking in the beautiful views, spotting wildlife and tucking into fish and chips on the way back, returning at 5.00pm.

Residents Meeting

Wednesday 30th June 2021

We will be holding a residents meeting in the ground floor garden room and everyone is welcome to attend. Please join us if there’s something you wish to discuss or if you’d like to put forward any suggestions for improvements we could make to our leisure and wellness provision.

Minibus trips

Twice Weekly

Minibus trips will be taking place twice weekly to various desired locations. Please ask for more information for dates, availability and venues.
