Bordering the historic mill town of Congleton and the delightful village of Astbury in the heart of East Cheshire, Astbury Mere enjoys a truly enviable position. Whilst only a few minutes drive from the centre of town, the home enjoys a leafy setting adjacent to the natural open beauty of Astbury Mere Country Park. Astbury Mere is also less than 20 minutes away from Biddulph, Kidsgrove and Sandbach.

Opened in 2010, Astbury Mere provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Astbury Mere is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a hairdressing salon, a leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

The Songsters

The Songsters will be entertaining us with some beautiful well-known songs to celebrate the New Year.

Relatives’ Meeting

Thursday 16th January 2020 - 6:00pm

We will be holding our quarterly meeting for relatives and friends to catch up on what’s happening in the home.

New Year Entertainer Debbie McCormick

Wednesday 22nd January 2020 - 2:30pm

We are delighted to be welcoming the wonderful vocalist, Debbie McCormick, to entertain us for the afternoon. Come and join us, refreshments will be served.

Chinese New Year and Robbie Burns Celebrations

Saturday 25th January 2020 - All Day

Throughout the day, we will be celebrating not one but two very special occasions – Chinese New Year and Burns Night. There will be a mixture of fun and games to be had on this day, marking two very different but important events in the calendar.
