Bordering the historic mill town of Congleton and the delightful village of Astbury in the heart of East Cheshire, Astbury Mere enjoys a truly enviable position. Whilst only a few minutes drive from the centre of town, the home enjoys a leafy setting adjacent to the natural open beauty of Astbury Mere Country Park. Astbury Mere is also less than 20 minutes away from Biddulph, Kidsgrove and Sandbach.

Opened in 2010, Astbury Mere provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Astbury Mere is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a hairdressing salon, a leisure and wellness room and a private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Christmas Choral Celebration

Saturday 1st December 2018 - 6:00pm-8:00pm

Enjoy a unique and entertaining a cappella experience with the Wilmslow A Cappella Choir on Saturday 1st December. This will coincide with the switch on of our Christmas lights at 6.30pm and there’ll be a hot pot supper and mulled wine to warm us up. If you’d like to join us, contact a member of the L&W team to reserve your place.

Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime

Monday 3rd December 2018 - 2:30pm

Razzle Dazzle Productions will be performing Jack and the Beanstalk for us! This production is guaranteed to make you smile and giggle and is the perfect festive event. The performance will be starting at 2.30pm so book your place today to avoid disappointment.

Biddulph U3A Choir

Tuesday 4th December 2018 - 2:30pm

The Biddulph U3A choir will be joining us to perform carols, both new and old, for our residents, staff and relatives. The performance will begin at 2.30pm and will be wonderfully festive.

Jan’s Festive Flower Arranging Session

Wednesday 12th December 2018 - 11:30am

Join us in the ground floor drawing room for a festive floral demonstration and a chance to create your very own masterpiece. Jan is well known at Astbury Mere for being a dab hand in the garden and she’ll be helping us to arrange flowers associated with the season.

Residents Request Fun New Fitness Classes at Astbury Mere

We’ve started some fun new fitness classes with Bee Active which have been really well received by our residents. Residents had requested some more sporty sessions and they certainly got what they asked for! Every resident said how much fun they had during the class and they’re now looking forward to every weekly session.
