A Party fit for the Queen!

Date posted: 6th July 2022

To celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, here at Astbury Mere, we hosted a garden party! We were thrilled to welcome relatives and friends from our Congleton community to enjoy a delicious spread prepared by our fantastic chef, Andy.

Andy made a range of desserts to finish the day and we were all particularly impressed with the ‘Jubilee Trifle’, complete with Swiss roll, jelly, custard and berries. Our residents had a wonderful day and it was so special to be able to all come together and reminisce on the 70-year reign of the Queen.

An Easter Competition

Date posted: 2nd May 2022

To celebrate Easter here at Astbury Mere in Congleton, our residents were thrilled to take park in a competition in connection with our local school; Havannah Primary School.

Students from each year group sent over a range of Easter crafts for our residents to judge and we returned the results at the end of the week. With both of our floors participating, everyone enjoyed looking at the wonderful creations, carefully considering a winner in the process.

The children were each given an Easter treat and there were special prizes for the runner up and winner.
