As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Tonbridge, Tonbridge House Care Home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Hadlow, Hildenborough and Paddock Wood.

Tonbridge House provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, café, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

VE Day

Sunday 8th May 2022

We welcome back Jennie and Dean for another great show and tell session. Our chefs have created a wonderful VE Day inspired menu and of course there will be tea and cake in the afternoon.

Dementia Action Week

16TH-22ND MAY

Come join us for a tea and coffee morning to help raise awareness for Dementia Action Week. Our home trainer will be giving a speech raising awareness and any information. Our brilliant chef will be making some delicious cakes to raise money for the charity Alzheimer’s Society.

Chelsea Flower Show

Tuesday 24th May 2022

Join us to arrange some beautiful flower arrangements for our home with flower arranging in the morning, followed by some potting in the garden in the afternoon.

Opera Festival

Thursday 26th May 2022

Join Harry Kersley for this wonderful Opera Festival with his wonderful opera singing.

Puppies visit Tonbridge House

Here at Tonbridge House, Tonbridge, we always enjoy welcoming furry friends into our home! Our residents were thrilled to welcome a litter of puppies, very kindly brought in by a family member. We had a wonderful afternoon in the garden playing with them whilst enjoying tea, coffee and cake in between. 

Valentine’s Day

We have had a month full of exciting activities at Thirlestaine Park, but the highlight for us was our Valentine’s lunch. Our residents enjoyed High Tea at our home in Cheltenham, with lots of sweet treats. Our chefs did a wonderful job and love was definitely in the air throughout the whole home!
