As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Tonbridge, Tonbridge House Care Home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Hadlow, Hildenborough and Paddock Wood.

Tonbridge House provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, café, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

We’re delighted to be welcoming Drew for the first and we’re looking forward to being entertained by his wonderful voice.

Bowls Competition

Monday 16th November 2020 - 2.30pm

The competition will involve classic carpet bowls rules – get your bowls as close to the jack as possible and knock your competition out of the lounge.

John Cheney (Pianist)

Wednesday 18th November 2020 - 2.30pm

We will welcome John back for a wonderful performance of songs on the piano.

St Andrews Day

Monday 30th November 2020 - All Day

Let us celebrate all things Scottish! We’ll be eating lots of traditional Scottish food, throwing a Ceilidh with traditional music and taking part in a themed quiz so we can learn more about Scotland.

New Entertainment with Marco the Magician

We were excited to welcome a new entertainer to our home on 19th October, when Marco the Magician appeared to showcase his magical talents.

During his act, Marco demonstrated magic, illusions and paid tribute to legendary comedian and magician, Tommy Cooper. The set was both light-hearted and captivating and the perfect addition to our leisure and wellness programme. We look forward to welcoming Marco back once again and seeing what other tricks he has up his sleeve! 

Guest Entertainers Return to Tonbridge House

We are being visited once again by guest performers who have been entertaining our residents with lots of music. Our residents are looking forward to welcoming back old favourites such as Harry Kersey and Jasmine Kittermaster, and even some new faces, as our leisure and wellness team organise a full and engaging activity programme to suit every taste.
