As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Tonbridge, Tonbridge House Care Home is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Hadlow, Hildenborough and Paddock Wood.

Tonbridge House provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, café, hairdressing salon and nail bar, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

Andy Mace

Thursday 8th August 2019 - 11.00am

Join us for a fun morning with Andy Mace. He will help to exercise our bodies and minds with his easy chair-based exercises and short quizzes. If we’re lucky, he may also sing for us at the end of the session as well.

Minibus Trip to Hastings

Saturday 24th August 2019 - 11.00am

Calling all seaside lovers! We’ll be taking a minibus trip to Hastings on 24th August, setting off at 11.00am. We are sure to have a fun day out, enjoying a picnic by the sea and breathing in some of that refreshing sea air. We frequently take day trips out so if you have any suggestions for places to visit, don’t hesitate to tell our leisure and wellness team who will see what they can do.

Dementia Café at the Angel Centre

Friday 16th August 2019 - 2.00pm

If you like fun and games then join us at the dementia café/gym at the Angel Centre from 2.00pm. During this session, our residents get involved in lots of fun games such as pitch and putt, table tennis or softball or they have the opportunity to work out in the gym too.

Charity Bingo Night

Saturday 31st August 2019 - 7.00pm

We’re hosting a charity bingo evening and all of our residents, staff, families and friends are encouraged to join us for a fun evening raising money for a good cause. Tickets are £5 each with soft drinks, tea, coffee and cake included. All proceeds from this fantastic evening will go towards a charity of the residents’ choosing and we can’t wait to see you there!
