Christmas Wreath Making

Date posted: 5th January 2021

We made paper wreaths in the lead up to Christmas with a few residents getting involved too. We made the wreaths to hang up around the home and we had quite a few people commenting on how nice it was to have a little more festivity in the home. We made the wreaths using just paper and coloured pens but they looked lovely and it was great to use our creativity.

Residents Pay Tribute on Armistice Day

Date posted: 10th December 2020

Remembrance Day is an important occasion for us here at Tonbridge House and we are located right across the road from a church so decided to move outside to listen to the chimes of the bells and the cannon fire marking the beginning and end of the two minute silence. This was followed by residents and staff gathering at a safe distance in the main lounge for the Unknown Warrior service on television and our prayer group service after.

New Entertainment with Marco the Magician

Date posted: 6th November 2020

We were excited to welcome a new entertainer to our home on 19th October, when Marco the Magician appeared to showcase his magical talents.

During his act, Marco demonstrated magic, illusions and paid tribute to legendary comedian and magician, Tommy Cooper. The set was both light-hearted and captivating and the perfect addition to our leisure and wellness programme. We look forward to welcoming Marco back once again and seeing what other tricks he has up his sleeve!
