Chalfont St Peter is a vibrant, friendly village with a strong local identity and lively community. It has prosperous businesses and excellent travel links to other major business areas and towns, yet is set in the green belt on the edge of The Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Woodland Manor enjoys an enviable residential setting in two acres of landscaped woodland garden, only minutes from the centre of the village. Woodland Manor is also a short distance away from Chalfont St Giles, Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross.

Opened in 2016, Woodland Manor provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure Woodland Manor is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, leisure and wellness room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning leisure and wellness philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped gardens for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

All of us at Woodland Manor are confident we are one of the leading care homes in Buckinghamshire. We would be delighted to show you our home, and should you decide to visit us, you will see the difference Woodland Manor makes to the lives of our residents and families.

Minibus Trips Resume at Porthaven Care Homes

Date posted: 9th March 2021

We were as thrilled as our residents were to see the minibuses back in action this week! In line with the UK government roadmap out of lockdown, we have resumed short trips out and about in the local areas. With our residents and staff now vaccinated, this is truly a sign of better days ahead and a welcome return to our leisure and wellness programmes. Watch the moment here covered by ITV news in the west country.

Coffee and Cake Drive Through

Date posted: 14th April 2021

As we have been restricted with our visits since the start of the pandemic, we thought a great way of keeping in touch with our local community, families and friends and other healthcare professionals was to host a ‘Coffee and Cake Drive Through’.

We invited everyone we knew, whether familial or professional, to visit us one Wednesday afternoon, asking them to pull up in our car park so we could take their order and have a chat. We provided all of our guests with a hot tea or coffee, a slice of homemade cake and a goody bag and took the opportunity to catch up with those we’ve missed seeing for so many months.

Spring Has Sprung at Woodland Manor

Date posted: 9th March 2021

Residents have been helping the leisure and wellness team to press flowers for our latest activity on the activity programme. We have collected flowers from old bouquets and flowers from the balcony gardens to press, using a large array of flowers to make special prints, collages and cards. This is a great sensory-based activity which can trigger memories and create talking points for the residents.
