Easter Arts and Crafts
Thursday 1st April 2021 - 11.30am and 2.00pm
Easter is looming so we will be doing Easter arts and crafts on 1st April. We will also be taking part in the Easter hospitality competition and the residents will be baking something delicious and beautiful with our chef. Times and dates for this are to be confirmed.
St George’s Day
Friday 23rd April 2021 - All Day
On 23rd April, we will be celebrating St George’s Day with a delicious barbecue cooked outside by our wonderful chef. This will be followed by a party in the afternoon and we’re hopeful that we may be able to have live entertainment, plus St George’s Day facts and quizzes throughout the day.
DAILY - 11.30am & 2.00pm
This club has been a huge success this year with many more residents keen to get out into the garden and plant their favourite fruits, vegetables and flowers. We have been relishing getting out into the warm spring sunshine each day and when the weather hasn’t been so great, we’ve brought our plants inside. This is a great social event and even our most timid gardeners enjoy these sessions. We have incorporated woodworking skills into the gardening club as we build planters, potting benches, bug hotels, bee hotels, bird boxes and bird feeders. The garden is already looking fantastic and the residents take great pride in it and love to get outside as often as they can.
TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS
In line with the UK government roadmap out of lockdown, we have resumed short trips out and about in the local areas. We have enjoyed trips out into the Surrey countryside and were thrilled to see the spring blossom on the trees. Our trips out are on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we are encouraging as many residents to take this chance to get out of the home after such a long period of time.
All this is happening as well as our regular groups. Contact us today on 01372 239500 to find out more about these upcoming events and activities or why not suggest an activity yourself!
