This month we were thrilled to be able to take our Chiltern Grange minibus to visit the Royal Airforce Museum, which is located on the former Hendon Aerodrome in London. Some of our residents had visited before but were amazed to see the recent improvements and new displays. We were lucky to arrive on a quiet morning, which meant we were able to take our time and marvel at all of the aircrafts on show. When viewing one of the aircrafts, one of our residents said that they had flown a plane just like it once! It was fantastic to see how immersive the site was, with our residents being able to sit in a helicopter and interact with the displays. We also had the opportunity to explore the World War One section and learn about the true stories behind some of these flights, which we found to be an incredibly moving experience. All of us agreed that we had a brilliant time and are looking forward to visiting again soon.
