Five residents from our Cooking with the Chef activity ventured to Bibury Trout Farm for a day of fishing, feeding the ducks and feasting on freshly caught Trout, cooked by head chef Paul. Starting with a fantastic Cotswolds countryside drive on the mini bus, residents arrived peacefully in the scenic trout farm, set against a spectacularly luscious garden. Music played while a wood fire was lit and as residents gathered around the flames drinking white wine, they shared stories of the biggest fish they had caught. Chef reminded the residents that if no fish were caught, we were going hungry!
Chef flame grilled the trout to perfection with lemon and herbs, which was paired with a fine French Rosé and fresh salads. A toast of thanks was said to the Chef and the trout for a fabulous afternoon. Residents headed home with a new fish tale with a happy ending to add to their books.
