Penhurst Gardens Care Home was announced last week as one of the top 20 most recommended care homes in the South East.
The accolade, which was awarded by independent review site, Carehome.co.uk, is highly sought after in the industry as it is based on the opinions of services users and their families and friends. These awards seek to highlight the most highly regarded care homes across the Country and awards are categorised regionally into top 20 lists.
Our current review scoring of 9.9 has placed us 14th by review score out of over 3000 care settings in the region. Although we opened a little over a year ago, Penhurst Gardens is fast growing in reputation with an array of awards finalists at the Great British Care Awards in 2017 including a win for Nurse Alison McHugh who scooped the Good Nurse award for the South East.
Our home manager, Matthew Berry said, ‘We’re all just delighted with the homes achievements so far and this recognition from family, friends and residents living in the home means so much particularly as it is derived out of their personal experience of life in the home. As a home manager, I couldn’t ask for anything more from my team – they are caring, skilled and compassionate and this is a common theme throughout the reviews and feedback we have received. I’m incredibly proud.’
