A Western-themed workout for National Fitness Day

We celebrated National Fitness Day this September and had one of our regular visits from Julia with a western twist!

Julia teaches exercises and themed classes incorporating strength and balance, music, and movement while keeping fit and creating a feel-good environment that everyone enjoys.

Using a wonderful variety of props—from balls and parachutes, to scarves, hula hoops and bean bags—Julia tailors each session to suit the needs and abilities of individuals living with dementia, ensuring that everyone can take part and feel the benefits.

Julia has been visiting us since we first opened our doors, and her sessions are always a highlight of the week. We can’t wait to welcome her back soon for more music, movement, and smiles!
