Revolutionary Interactive Technology Launched at Thirlestaine Park!

We welcomed Mayor Klara Sudbury on Friday 30thApril for the launch of our OMi Mobii magic table system. This fascinating and revolutionary new interactive technology is the first of its kind to be used in a Cheltenham or Gloucester care home.

The Mobii system offers our residents a range of enriching and engaging activities such as reminiscence experiences, mental/physical games with speed controls for different reflex responses, virtual water with reactive fish, film and brain training quizzes and there’s also the option to upload personal photos and voice recordings to create interactive life histories. The system can be moved from room to room and is a fantastic means for social interaction between staff, residents and visitors, sparking conversations and triggering memories, particularly for those living with dementia.

The residents demonstrated an array of activities for the mayor, displaying how versatile and stimulating the system is. The innovative technology is especially beneficial for those living with dementia and has been a welcome addition to our leisure and wellness programme which provides entertaining and inspiring activities for residents on a daily basis.
