The residents joined in with celebrations at a double birthday party to celebrate two very special birthdays. Joy Freeman turned 102 years old on 2nd October whilst little Oscar turned 2 years old on the same date. Joy and Oscar were born exactly 100 years apart but have developed a lovely bond despite the age gap of a century!
Joy and Oscar were joined by family and friends at their party, were entertained by live music and readings of Pam Ayres’ poetry and we enjoyed Laurel and Hardy songs with our residents all joining in with some very enthusiastic clapping.
Both Joy and Oscar exchanged a gift and card and blew out their birthday cake candles together and we toasted to the birthday boy and girl.
