The residents at Wiltshire Heights are enjoying new and modern ways to connect with their family and friends at the moment and have mastered how to use FaceTime, Skype and Zoom.
Seeing their smiles when they talk to family and friends has been wonderful. Whilst on these calls, residents have been thrilled to accompany them on country walks, have listened to family concerts, have heard their grandchildren singing to them and have connected with those living abroad in Dubai, Israel, Switzerland, Italy, Peru and Australia.
Through the use of technology, residents have been able to continue to enjoy church services which have been taken online as well as virtual tours of the London Museum and the British Museum and Wiltshire Music virtual concerts. We are missing our intergenerational sessions with the children of Westview Nursery too so residents decided to write poems which were videoed for the children to watch so we can remain connected.
