Chinese New Year

To celebrate Chinese New Year at Woodland Manor Care Home some of our residents beautifully and meticulously painted circular paper lanterns to display in our reception area. This day was certainly a colourful celebration. One of our residents, Jackie, is seen here painting a traditional Chinese blossom pattern on her lantern, which received so many compliments from visitors to our Chalfont St Peter home.

During the afternoon, we watched a YouTube video showing the festive mood across China ahead of Lunar New Year. As we learnt, it is also called the Spring Festival and is a treasured time for reunions with family and friends, which certainly spread warm feelings within our home.
