As well as providing excellent care for the residents of Farnham, Bourne Wood Manor is a very popular home for many residents of surrounding villages and towns such as Badshot Lea, Wrecclesham and Elstead.

Bourne Wood Manor provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly in an elegant and spacious home incorporating numerous thoughtful and practical features which ensure our home is able to meet the changing needs of its residents.

Porthaven’s expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of all our residents, with special emphasis given to promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing.

All residents benefit from living in a caring environment with generously appointed private bedrooms with en suite wetrooms, and plentiful communal living areas including sitting rooms, restaurants, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon and nail bar, activities and wellbeing room and private dining room for special family occasions.

In keeping with our unique and award winning activities and wellbeing philosophy, our residents also benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising.

A garden performance

At the beginning of the month, our wonderful residents at Bourne Wood Manor were treated to a brilliant performance by the Doorstep Duets presented by Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.

This year’s performance, My Feet Don’t Quite Touch The Floor, was incredible. The production toured across the South East of England this July, and we were so lucky to have them perform in our very own garden on such a gorgeous afternoon! It was a joyful and uplifting experience that our residents thoroughly enjoyed.

Out for a swim

Our residents and team members love to utilise the fantastic facilities on offer in Farnham, which includes the brilliant Farnham Leisure Centre. Having recently launched a community sports programme, our residents took a trip to the leisure centre for a private swimming lesson, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. While some of our residents hadn’t swum in some time, they found being back in the water like second nature, and we look forward to returning soon.
