The 22nd November proved to be a very special day as our lovely resident Florrie celebrated her 100th birthday and also became Falkland Grange’s first centenarian!
As it was a milestone birthday, and the first 100th birthday we have had at Falkland Grange since opening, we did everything we could to ensure Florrie had the day she deserved.
Florrie is well known for her love of attending royal occasions, standing in the crowds outside Buckingham Palace to get a glimpse of the Queen so we brought the Queen to Falkland Grange for the day, with our staff members dressing up as various members of The Royal Family. We had plenty of things planned for throughout the day, including a special breakfast followed by coffee and conversation in the bistro, a royal afternoon tea and a Zoom party with all of Florrie’s family and friends.
Cards, gifts and well-wishes flooded in for the birthday girl from her nearest and dearest and she was also the proud recipient of a special birthday telegram from the Queen!
