Christmas Shopping Market at Wiltshire Heights

Residents spent many afternoons preparing for their stall at the Christmas Shopping Market held here on 30th November. The residents made lamps and Christmas angels and using their amazing photographs taken throughout the year, the photography group produced Christmas cards, notelets and postcards. Great debates were held on volume and costs by the group and the stall was manned by Libby’s son Jake who volunteered to undertake this task to improve his maths. Residents were welcomed to a selection of stalls hosted by members of our local community as well as friends of the home. Lily, one of our carers, sold amazing Indian silks, jewellery and bags whilst our head chef Richard sold fabulous woodcrafts. The afternoon went well with residents, friends and relatives enjoying a Christmas shop and a go on the raffle and we raised over £70 to go to a charity of our residents choosing.
